Day 341 – Barcelona, Spain

We continued to explore beautiful Barcelona today. In the early afternoon we hopped on a local bus which took us to Parc Guell, an extremely unique place (we have not seen anything like it anywhere else in the world). Parc Guell was designed by famous architect Antoni Gaudi and his designs look like something straight out of a fairy tale. After enjoying the park, we proceeded to walk over to Temple de la Sagrada Familia (another Gaudi masterpiece). Although the church is still under construction (since 1882), it is an impressive sight. We spent the rest of the day strolling through the streets of Barcelona where we encountered a couple more of Gaudi’s houses.

  1. Parc Guell is awesome! I’ve never seen anything like it! However, it does remind me of Dale Chihuly’s glass art. Expanding into architecture is another dimension, isn’t it?
