Day 333 – Tangier, Morocco

We spent our last full day in Morocco by exploring Tangier. Today was a very special day in Tangier because the Moroccan king was in town. Moroccan flags were flying high everywhere as the locals lined the streets to welcome their ruler. In the early afternoon we lost ourselves in the Medina (the old part of the city). After walking around the Medina where we bought some delicious tangerines, we decided to take a break and relax under the warm sun on a local park bench. Later on we walked to the beach and took in some scenery along the more modern strip of the city, the area along the beachfront.
