Day 278 – Florence, Italy

Because this morning was slightly overcast, we decided to devote today to Galleria degli Uffizi. After waiting in line for 45 minutes, we finally acquired our Uffizi tickets (during high season the wait can be up to 5 hours). Uffizi is home to an INCREDIBLE art collection. We spent over three hours admiring masterpieces by Botticelli, Giotto, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Lippi, and other great artists. Since photography was prohibited, I do not have any pictures of Uffizi’s grand collection. After visiting the gallery, we grabbed a bite to eat and continued exploring Florence.

  1. There’s a lot of outside art that you’ve discovered! I’m glad to know that you were fortunate enough to visit the museum.

Fall colors are definitely here, but the leaves are dropping as soon as they turn color. It’s been so dry lately, but the views are spectacular. However, that means cold weather is getting closer!

    • Thanks aunt Jan… we feel very lucky that the line was not that long.

I’m so glad you’re enjoying the beauty of fall foliage. Autumn is my favorite season! I hope you continue to enjoy good weather. Big hugs!🙂
