Day 259 – Heidelberg, Germany

This morning we said goodbye to Frankfurt and got on a train to Heidelberg. Our train ride lasted only an hour so before we knew it we had arrived in Heidelberg, a beautiful city nested in the Neckar Valley. After checking into our hotel, we began our day long adventure which included a TON of walking up steep hills (for those amazing aerial views). We hiked the philosophers’ walk, strolled all over Old Town, and scaled a steep hill to get to the Schloss (castle). The weather today was perfection!

  1. Heidelberg is a fun place, but I got tired of the cobblestones!

Germans LOVE to dine outdoors! It’s amazing that the weather is still cooperating!
