Day 245 – Berlin, Germany

Today was our last full day in Berlin. We began the day by visiting the East Side Gallery which features various artistic murals on one of the last remaining pieces of the Berlin Wall. We stumbled upon the East Side Gallery while visiting the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge (which is located right next to the Gallery). After enjoying some delicious German sausages for lunch, we walked through the serene Tiergarten Park on our way to the Siegessaule monument. It was very interesting to see war wounds on the Siegessaule monument (which has bullet holes at its base). We concluded the day by visiting the Schloss Charlottenburg, a regal palace in the outskirts of Berlin.
