Day 209 – Loire Valley, France

Today we explored some of the Chateaus located in the Loire Valley. Although there are many beautiful Chateaus sprinkled throughout the Loire Valley region, we only had time to visit two (Chateau de Chenonceau and Chateau de Chambord). Both structures exuded regal beauty. After returning our rental car in the evening, we hopped on a train heading to southern France.

You picked out good chateaux to visit! I hope you went inside of Chambord, as the double staircase is quite unique. If not, save it for next time. I can’t wait to see your pix from southern France. Don wants to go to the Riviera some day!

    • Thanks aunt Jan. Unfortunately we did not have time to go inside Chambord since we spent so much time at Chateau de Chenonceau. We had to head back to Paris to return our rental by 6pm and to catch our train.

Great pics, when you get back we want you to take a “pronunciation test” on all the foreign names🙂
