Day 152 – Kyoto, Japan (Northern Higashiyama)

We continued to explore Kyoto today by taking a walking tour of northern Higashiyama. One can easily spend two weeks in Kyoto and still not see everything this historic city has to offer (there is just so much to admire). During our tour, we passed by many shrines and temples. Two sites that really stood out were the Nanzenji Temple and the Ginkakuji Temple. The Japanese garden at the Ginkakuji Temple (a World Heritage site) was absolutely spectacular.
