Day 126 – Agra, India

This morning we departed Delhi super early via an express train to Agra. Our two hour journey was the best train ride we’ve experienced thus far in India (AC chair car). Upon arriving in Agra, we dropped off our bags at the hotel and hired a driver for the day to take us around. First we visited Fatehpur Sikri, an old city built by Akbar which is located about 40 km outside of Agra. After admiring the beautiful Jama Masjid there and walking around Akbar’s former palace, we headed back to Agra to visit Sikandra and Baby Taj. All of the sites we visited today were serene and gorgeous. We can’t wait to see the Taj Mahal tomorrow morning!!!
