Day 118 – Dhikuli Village, India (Corbett National Park)

This afternoon we departed Delhi by train and headed for Ramnagar. Upon arriving in Ramnagar, we took a rickshaw taxi to Dhikuli Village, our launching point for Corbett National Park (India’s first national park and natural wildlife preserve – home to many tigers, elephants, and various other animals). Our five hour train ride zipped by fairly quickly as we enjoyed conversing with a young gentleman we befriended during our journey.  Thank you Jitesh for your company and excellent sightseeing advice.

(Old Delhi train station – We arrived at the New Delhi station where we learned that our train was departing from the Old Delhi station.  Fortunately we were early enough for our train that we had time to scramble and still make it to the Old Delhi station prior to our train’s departure).
