Day 112 – Bhairahawa, Nepal (In transit to India)

We spent the whole day today in transit from Pokhara to Bhairahawa, so we’re pretty tired. Although our eight and a half hour bus ride was quite uncomfortable, we had an excellent driver who drove carefully through the challenging Himalayan terrain. In typical Nepal fashion, the views along the way were spectacular (gorgeous mountains, rivers, and farming terraces). Bhairahawa is a Nepali town which borders India. It is not a major tourist destination but we decided to stop here and rest for the evening prior to crossing the border tomorrow morning.
