Day 77 – Last day in Bangkok

We spent our last day in Thailand by continuing to explore Bangkok. Today we visited the Grand Palace where we saw the Emerald Buddha (unfortunately pictures of this beautiful jade statue were strictly prohibited). The Grand Palace complex is simply spectacular. Gold paint and detailed Thai embellishments are found EVERYWHERE. I was literally overwhelmed by how beautifully the Palace was restored and maintained. I especially loved the exquisite artwork on the walls encompassing the grounds of the Royal Monastery.

  1. These buildings look very well-preserved and certainly are massive!
