Day 69 – Chiang Mai

We arrived in Chiang Mai very late last night so today was our first day of exploring this charming city. Chiang Mai showcases some remarkable Thai architecture. There are Wats (Buddhist temples) everywhere you turn and they are beautifully decorated with gold paint, sparking mirrors, and vibrant colors. As we walked around Old Chiang Mai, we discovered this city’s beauty, charm, and history. Today was also very special because we got the chance to meet up with our old friends Jen and Bill who live here (it was so wonderful to see them and to reconnect over a traditional Thai dinner).
