Day 7 – Napier

Today’s drive from Taupo to Napier was one of the most beautiful drives we have taken thus far in New Zealand. We pulled over by a scenic point along the road which was recommended and saw the most gorgeous waterfall (please see the picture below). Upon arriving in Napier we stopped at the beach to admire the aqua blue ocean, went to the highest point (Bluff Hill), toured Mission Estate Winery (which is the oldest winery in New Zealand), and took a walking tour of the city. Napier is known as the Art Deco Capital. In my opinion, it has a similar vibe to Miami. We ended the day bathing in the salty waters at Ocean SPA.
